Note that there are a number of these shortcuts under the Go menu, which also lists command-shift-U to bring up the utilities folder. That folder is inside the apps folder and includes less commonly used apps such as disk utility for formatting and partitioning drives.

Hi,

VO-d takes you to the Dock which is simply a bar across the bottom of the screen with shortcuts to common, or favourite, applications. Apps like TextEdit and many others are in the Applications folder. So, as mentioned, get to your Desktop, or the Finder, then press cmd-shift-a which will open the Applications folder. TextEdit will be there. Numbers is a spreadsheet app, like Excel, Keynote is a multi-media presentation app like PowerPoint. Notes is just that, a little note-taker app and Maps is just like the Maps app on an iOS device whereby it can give you directions and such to and between places.

HTH.

Hi,
I just went to see what programs I have, hitting VO d, and I found that I don’t have Text Edit. I have pages, numbers, and others that I don’t know what they are for.
For instance, what is Notes?
Maps?
Face time?
Keynote?
Thanks,
Rena
