Hi Kevin, I used to use the sonos controller on the mac but found it annoying. I installed it then used it to add my audio book library to it. Then, I used the iphone sonos app to play my audio book library on the sonos. The one problem I had was the sonos app on the mac kept trying to send all audio to the sonos speaker even when it was powered off. HTH Jeff
