John,
What are you using for the software to host the VM? Are you using Fusion?
I might, key word, might! be able to build you a VM of W7. Realize though
that for legality reasons, it will not have an activated copy of JAWS. I
could put NVDA on it, and could probably even go as far as to install a 40
minute demo for you of JAWS 16, but it wouldn't be activated fully, and it
certainly! wouldn't be a cracked copy.
Also, realize that the copy I'd provide of W7 would be in 30 day trial mode.
Meaning, I would not provide a product key or any means to fully license and
activate Windows. You'll be on your own as far as that goes.
If you have a crack patcher, or a key you want to use to crack the thing,
that's totally up to you, but I myself am not going to engage in making that
a reality.
If you're still interested, let me know and I'll see if perhaps maybe I can
put something together for ya. No promises, but I can try.
I'll have to find a trial version of Fusion, so I can at least build the VM,
but that shouldn't be terribly difficult, I wouldn't think.
I'm more concerned about that, than I am building the VM itself. I
definitely have a copy of W7, so that honestly isn't the problem we face.
Chris.

Subject: looking for a virtual machine
Hi list:
Not sure anyone can help me with this, as it’s kind of an unusual request,
but here goes.
My girlfriend has a MacBook Air, 13 inch from last year. She’s comfortable
doing most things on her mac, but is going off to grad school this year.
Her school’s disabilities services department is familiar with JAWS and
windows, but has no familiarity with Voiceover and OSX. One of the primary
programs they use for her grad work they tell her works brilliantly under
windows with JAWS, but no clue about Mac accessibility. They’re trying to
get her a copy to test, but just in case.
The only virtual machine I have available is an XP machine that works great
for mudding and Quenton C’s playroom, but web browsing is painful on it (I
never do it so never bothered to even see if it was really doable). She
would like a Windows 7 machine. I suppose I could go around and try to build
her one, but if someone happens to have one already created and would be
willing to share, that would be ideal.
If you like, you may write me off list about this at [email protected], so
we dont’ clutter the list with traffic that isn’t really related to the
primary purpose of this list.
Thanks in advance!
DFTBA!
