My preferred method is to move the .AAX files from my Safari Downloads folder into my iTunes media library’s “Automatically add to iTunes” folder. Do it in Finder while iTunes is either running or not; copy the file to the pasteboard, navigate to the auto-add folder and option-paste. Or using Terminal, use the mv command. When iTunes next runs, or if it is running, it will automatically shuffle the books into your Audiobooks folder, tag them, and list them in the audiobooks section.
