Well, half an hour after my error, I had a e-mail from Paypal to say that my purchase was successful. I then rang the support at VMWare to make sure I had not been charged twice. I also got told because I had purchased a licence after the full year, I was not eligible for a discount so had to pay the full price of £91.96 don't know what that is in dollars.
