George, I think you're right, from what little I recall playing with it last
night. It's not a big deal really. As long as I at the very least can get the
volume to work, that's my main concern.

Thank you all again for your help.

Chris.

In that I think there is a mute. I haven’t looked in a little bit but I think
it’s there right beside the volume stuff.

OK, I'll give that a go. Do you know after getting in that group what I
push to mute/un? mute?

Actually if you’re not using quick nav, get to the group, interact, and
don’t use left and right arrows inside the group. Use up and won. See where
that gets you. Remember, volume up, volume down. It’s a little odd but it does
work. See what happens with that and if you still get stuck email me back and
I’ll see what else I might be missing. In the meantime I’m getting more coffee
so that might help. Lol.

        Tim,

        I need a little clarification. I actually don't use Quick nav. I've
been actually just holding down the VO keys, then left and right arrowing. In
other words, I've literally been doing a VO+left and right arrow to move
through the page.

OK, so are you basically saying, find the group for the volume ajuster,
interact with it, then once done, start hitting left and right arrow keys,
making sure that my quick nav isn't turned on?

Write me back and let me know. Once I get a little bit more
clarification on this, I'll gladly give it a try, then report back.

        Chris.

Turn off your quick nav, and use your arrows once you’re in that
group. I had to work with it but it works and is probably the most accessible
flavor of the player they’ve ever done online. Give that a shot and let me know
if you have any further trouble but after tinkering that’s what I came up with
and it works like a charm. Thanks again and take care.

            Good morning guys!

I'm trying to navigate the embedded internal flash web player for
Sirius XM Radio online streaming.

            I'm navigating to:

            http://player.siriusxm.com

I get myself logged in, if I'm not automatically done so.

Once logged in, here is where the problem is occuring. I can get a
channel of my choice playing easily, but I'm really not understanding how to
get the embedded inlined volume control to work correctly. At the top of the
html content area, I see the volume adjuster group, but when I interact with
that group, I don't really see anything underneath it. If instead of
interacting, I simply just VO+right arrow past that item, I see a few links
that just simply say "slash." Hitting VO+space on them doesn't seem to be
doing anything though.

I'm using Yosemite 10.10.5 with Safari version 9. Further also for
your knowledge, I'm using DOM navigation. I'm not sure if that really matters,
but anyway...

If anyone has figured out how on earth to do this, please let me
know. I'm about ready to report this to them as an accessibility issue, but
I'd rather not do that until I know with utter assurance that there is
absolutely no work around that I may just not be aware of.

Thank you guys profusely for your help.

            Chris.
