Found this article from Wired interesting. Apparently there was a second
PARC team working on a speech-based UI. The article posits that speech
will be the next generation of how everyone interacts with devices and
computers. Mentions of Siri, Nuance, Apple, Amazon, Google and the other
usual players plus a few new ones.
