My linited experience from about a year ago of Google Play on Windows is
that.
1. with a bit of difficulty it is possible to upload your itunes/Windows
music library up onto the Google Cloud.
2. Once up there it is possible to access the cloud music reasonably
easily with the Android Google Play app.
3. However apart from uploading music I found Google Play completely
inaccessible for playing music on Windows.
I have not tried Google Play to upload music on the Mac but as I think
from memory I needed to use Jaws Virtual OCR and virtual cursor tricks
on Windows I suspect Voiceover would indeed not work on the Mac.
However if Google Play is accessible on iOS as some of their iOS app
apparently are them the Windows upload route may be a way of making
Google Play useful on an iPhone.

That is disappointing. It is also interesting, because I know somebody over on
the android list who says they monitor their iTunes folder and send music from
there up to the Google cloud. They were using windows, not a Mac. And if
they're not using the windows google music manager to do this monitoring, I
have no idea how they're doing it.

Just tried it yesterday and I can say that it's not at all accessible on Mac or
Windows.

I guess my subject line says it all. Google makes a music manager app for the
PC and for the Mac. It is associated with the play music service, and you can
use it to upload up to 50,000 songs from your computer to the Google music
cloud. Apparently, this uploading is free even if you haven't subscribed to the
$10 a month Google play music service. There is a free Google music service
which is ad supported. But they have a no ad service which also gives you a
subscription to their new YouTube read service. Anyway, I am interested in this
mac application and to know if anyone has successfully used to, say, upload
your iTunes library to the Google music cloud. That would be one way to not
have to subscribe to iTunes match, I suppose.
