Ditto!  I have thus far resorted to using Settings to remove apps (General, 
Storage).  Clunky, but it works.

Since I don’t use 3D Touch at all, it’s also been very tempting for me to turn 
the feature off entirely.  And yes, I already have it set to maximum firmness; 
I still keep hitting the blasted thing.  But since I have this iPhone 6S, with 
its greater weight and thickness, it smaller battery, and also its better 
radios, I can’t bring myself to do it without trying at least to make better 
use of the 3D Touch feature.
