Hello, It is heard to tell what is going on from just your short descriptions. I think there are two possibilities.
1. Get one of us on the phone so we can hear what your computer is saying. 2. Upgrade to 10.11 using an erase of the disk first, then it will be like having a completely new computer. If you want to contact me off list, I would be glad to work you through this issue. doing a clean install A clean install is really not that difficult, after starting the install process, you go into disk utility and tell it to delete the partition where the operating system is.
