I presume that you are not using Quicknav? Secondly, try vo+Space. One more
thing is, make sure that you're on the first message within the thread. Being
that it's not expanding for you in the first place, I'd presume that you are.
Are you using classic view, or just the standard layout.
I'm not sure how much help I'll be, but I'm up, so, if you wanna call me, I can
see if we can figure this out. No guarantees though.
