Aa, OK. Then, I guess the final step is, go to the text field, turn to
edit, flick down with one finger to paste, then double tap?

Find the beginning of the text you want to select. Use the rotor to navigate
to the text selection item and then flick up or down to set the item such as
character, word etc. that you want to select by. Flick to the right to
select by your chosen word, character etc. until you reach the end of the
text you want to select. Then use the rotor to go to edit and flick up or
down to cut or copy or whatever the text you have just selected.
