This can be done with scripts. I did not find anything yet via
Google that was current but someone here with more scripting experience
can do it.

You ask an excellent question.
To my knowledge, there is no vibratory or auditory feedback to indicate that
the Mac is shutting down. By the same token, although this has been suggested
to Apple, time and time again, by me and others, there is also no feedback to
indicate when the display is locked, as there is on iPhone.
