May I ask further? How many cores would you assign to virtual machine running windows 7 on my mac pro with 3 GHz Intel Core i7? I'd greatly appreciate your advice. I don't quite understand the concept of cores, especially that lots of material on VMWare website talks about virtual cores and I get confused because I don't know whether the processor on my macbook pro has virtual cores and therefore 7 of them or physical cores.
