I thought the idea of cloud storage was that you have a folder on your local machine that is actually located in the cloud environment with all your files in it, but it appears that those files are in the folder on your local machine Like dropbox or one drive show.

In other words, just because files go to your iCloud drive does not remove them from your physical drive. !
