I made the leap this morning after spending a couple days doing prep
work. All went well. The only mistake I made was when I changed Time
Machine backup drive names last month. I thought I had point TM to the
new name but apparently not. Nice to have a backup plan, such as Carbon
Copy Cloner. (smiles)

In fact a clean install is easy on a mac system.
And one of the steps with configuration is a question of do you wish to
migrate data from another machine or time machine backup
So if you have one then this could save a lot of time with getting your data
back up and running.

Subject: Re: Clean Install or Not
Clean install should be no problem. Not sure the VM ware question. You could
restore from time machine or do what I did which was just install the software
and copy over the VM.

I am not sure I am up to doing a clean install. Anyone who upgraded from
Yosemite, were there any issues?
If I do a clean install, how best to reinstall VMware?
Looking forward to the feedback.
