Hi there,

The way I've managed to get around this is to convert the PowerPoint to PDF
and use preview to read it.  As someone who used to use it a lot for
preparing my own notes, I discovered that when I moved across to the Mac I
had a lot of files I couldn't read.  

Sorry this probably isn't much help, but if you get a workaround I'd be
delighted to hear.
