Yes. I am also at the stage of having everything set up, but with no data in
my vault. And yes, it appears that interacting with a table row attracts the
cursor position towards text fields which it is hard to escape from. Perhaps
this was a bad idea. I will enter passwords, but not generate any; at least I
can have centralised passwords for convenient entry (but not as convenient as
native Safari), but I won’t forget them either.

Among other reasons, this is the downside of centralising your password
database. Yes, compromised passwords don’t result in cascading compromise, but
on the other hand you’ve just locked yourself in to a dependency on a single
piece of software whose accessibility may get worse over time. It’s
proprietary, too; great integration, but no alternatives. I love Wi-Fi Sync.
I suggest not generating any passwords until you’ve really mastered it, and
maybe not even then. You could only use the tool for audit, rather than
forgetting your passwords; as long as you choose good, strong passwords, you
don’t have nearly as much to fear from password compromise in the first place,
and therefore no real need for actually using a password manager. I probably
should have realised this before I started down this rabbit hole.

Incidentally, the exact same comments apply to iCloud Keychain, except there
there isn’t even an option of exporting your data, so the lock-in is far more
thorough. iCloud Keychain is using SEC256P1 to encrypt your keychain items,
and since the NSA picked the seed for that particular curve, you can get all
paranoid and avoid it for that reason, too. On the other feeler, the
integration is far more silky-smooth than 1Password, with autocompletion
occurring automatically.
