Yup. I bought it from Apple and I bought the mini adapter made for the new mac. The old one wouldn't have fit anyway. The bottom line is it doesn't work. If someone on this list has a new mac mini and has found an adapter that would allow it to work without a monitor I'd like to hear it though because I keep hearing all one need do is buy an adapter. Well I bought the one that was recommended for the new mac mini and it not only had performance problems but Voiceover wouldn't speak when I booted up. Once I reconnected the monitor it worked fine again.
