Yup. I bought it from Apple and I bought the mini adapter made for the new mac.
The old one wouldn't have fit anyway.
The bottom line is it doesn't work.
If someone on this list has a new mac mini and has found an adapter that would
allow it to work without a monitor I'd like to hear it though because I keep
hearing all one need do is buy an adapter. Well I bought the one that was
recommended for the new mac mini and it not only had performance problems but
Voiceover wouldn't speak when I booted up.
Once I reconnected the monitor it worked fine again.
