Thanks to list help I did try the method outlined in the article on AppleVis. Apparently that doesn’t work any longer but doing a simple drag and drop seems to work. Here are the steps if you’re like me and can never remember how to drag and drop.
1. Interact with the mailboxes tab and arrow down to the mailbox you want to addd to Favorites. 2. Hit VO, (comma) to select it for drag and drop. 3. Stop interacting with Mailboxes and move to the Favorites Bar. 4. Interact with Favorites and move your cursor to the right of where you want the new mailbox to be. 5. Hit VO. (period) to drop the item. You should hear a clicking sound and the mailbox will be part of your Favorites list. The other commands, command-number to go to the number of the mailbox in the Favorites list and control-number to place something in that list still work. If I’ve just reversed those commands and actions, apologies. Off to get more caffeine.
