You can actually see the link in the plain text of the email, in addition to 
the attachment menu in Mail.  This means that MailDrop is just the ticket for 
getting Apple to host your self-expiring temporary downloads for you. :)

You’ll know when this happens.  The text also says when the links expire.  If 
you want the URL of the file that Mail uses (as opposed to the one that takes 
you to the iCloud user interface) then you will have to go digging in the 
headers of the message (View, Message, Raw Source).
