And on the very high end models like the Rose Gold model the insides are
removable so an upgrade will simply require swapping out the inside and putting
in the new electronics.

To the best of my knowledge, all editions of the Apple Watch have identical

casing and screen materials, meaning a difference in color and finish. But
there's nothing one model can do that any other can't, as far as I know.

Sarah, a “complication” is a watchmaker’s term for anything on the watch face
other than the mechanism to tell time. On the Apple Watch, Chris described
complications pretty well as widgets.

I have several watch faces with different complications depending on where I am
and what I’m doing. My basic, everyday face is the Simple one but I have the
Modular and Utility faces set with the exact info I need in other situations.
It’s easy to switch faces. I even set the colors for faces, which is totally
cool to be able to do with VO.

Wo there! There is no! such thing as a stupid question!

Complications are basically little widgets, if you will, that you can place on
your clockface. So, for example. On my watch's clockface, I use a face called
Modular. So, in the top left complication, I have it set to tell me no
upcoming events, or whatever the next event may be. In the top right corner, I
have my battery. Bottom left is my activity, like if I've reached my health
goal for the day, etc. The bottom middle complication is a record button for
me to launch a very! useful app called Just Press Record. And finally, my
bottom right corner complication is the current temperature.

So, in other words, complications are basically little pieces of info, kind of
like a widget, for lack of better word, that you can put on your main watch
screen. When on your main clock face,

1. 3D touch and push your screen. You'll feel a little vibration, and hear a
little bweep sound. Now you are where you can flick with one finger left and
right to select the watch face you wish to use. Double tap on the one you
want. Note that after double tapping on a face, you'll be taken back to the
main clock face screen.

3. After flicking to the watch face you wish to customize the complications
on, flick down with one finger. Voiceover will say Customize. Then, double
tap.

4. You're now in the customization screen. Flicking left and right will move
you between complication locations on the currently active face that you're
customizing. Once on a particular complication location of your choice by
flicking left or right with one finger, then, you have two choices.

5. You now can either flick up or down with one finger to select which
complication you want in that slot, or to turn off that complication area
altogether. The other option instead of now flicking up or down with one
finger is to roll your digital crown either toward you, or away from you. Once
you have the complication you want selected, either flick left or right to
another location, or, if you're all done, just press the digital crown straight
in. There's no need to double tap after you select the complication you want
at a particular location.

Hopefully, this helps.

I found a little plastic surround that fits around the match that does a great

As for complications and watch faces I have a bunch, analog, digital, utility,
time laps, astronomy, time laps, and many more. Not sure but my assistant has
a sport model and says there are a lot less and he has to buy the ones I have
included.

I’d be curious to know which faces and complications are only available on the

The other reason I got that model was indeed the sapphire screen. Mine could
probably use a good buffing on the steel part too which is why I got it in
silver, so that doesn’t show as much.

The materials are a pretty big upgrade on the stainless. The screen is safari

much more water proof than apple claims.

Hi Sarai,

I got the 38 because I preferred the smaller size. And I got the sport model
because it is significantly cheaper, and I figured I'll want to upgrade when
the next gen comes out, so thought it made sense to spend less on the first
generation.
Cheers,
Donna
