It is exactly. A couple reviews even claimed to have people--an Apple Store employees, in one case--confuse this band for the Apple one. Plus, the magnetic clasp can reach all the way around to the other side of the Watch, so should work no matter how small or large your wrist is. Just be sure to feel where the small bump on your current band is on each lug, so you put the new one on the same way.
