Thanks Chris, I’m planning some duplication next time, including another host 
with his own recording equipment at his end. 

As far as worrying about Skype and Audio Hijack, I’m not completely ruling out 
operator error on this one as all the other files I’ve saved and sessions I’ve 
recorded with these two programs have saved themselves just fine. 

I’m tending to think this is an issue with my MBP and large files. It will open 
them if they already exist but not if say it’s the first time they are opened 
after recording, or if a large file is changed in some way. 

The retake of the interview will be done on my iMac, which does not have this 
issue.
