If your NAS is configured for RAID1, which is likely the case for a simple 
two-disk setup, then all you have to do is find a disk of at least the same 
size as the other, and replace the failed disk with that one.  It is very 
unlikely that the manufacturer of the drive matters; if you have the disk, put 
it in.  Normally that is all; your NAS will perform the rebuild, or you can ask 
it to do so using some web interface or other.
