Hi, Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if the computer came with El Capitan, you can't downgrade it to Yosemite. If you can, the easiest way to do it is to create an install drive using a program called disc maker X, and wipe the drive clean and reinstall with the bootable drive you made.
