Hi Scott, The S530 is a little molded plastic piece which sits in the ear. It actually stays quite well, even in fairly high wind. The talk time ranges from 3 to 5 hours. It is quite small, and I am told, looks a little like one is wearing an overgrown earbud.
The BH693 fits over and behind the ear, like the old Motorola Sliver and the Plantronics Legend. It looks like an overgrown Sliver. The speaker hangs over the ear canal, and rotates to the left or right side. It has a similar, if not slightly longer talk time. Both are Bluetooth 4.0. I use both, and have a couple of each (not very long battery life). The S530 is around $10 on eBay, and the other one is around $25 on eBay. I use both quite a bit, and am averaging around 6 months per unit.
