Ah cool collection. I know what you mean I love this stuff.

Yes the car is pretty amazing. It’s 3.5 HP in a sled that you can easily cary
and a big plastic truck topper. Looks like the monster energy truck for our
European friends. I mounted a go pro right on the hood.

I also built a drone based of the SRD-280 design so a quadcopter with 2800 KV
motors, a CC3D flight controller, bullnose ESC modules and some random cameras
and radio transmitters. You can hear a test flight to hear how severely tuned
the motors are. We figure it for about 70 MPH forward speed at full pitch.
(I’m not sure what that is in the real world)

The boat is an electric Traxas blast 48 inch and the car is the Red Cat Rampage
XT. Also have the Phantom 3 professional quadcopter with the range extension,
carbon fiber propeller upgrades, upgraded propulsion motors and a 4K camera.

Random rockets and associated go pros and piles of SD cards.:)

You should check out some of the autonomous flight options. To bring this back
on topic, the controlling applications for many of the drones out there are
based on IOS and are somewhat accessible. The Phantom 3 professional I use has
2 different navigation systems, compasses, gyros, russian and american sat nav,
and with a recent software update facial recognition and following features.
So for example you could tap the take off button on the app, preset the
altitude you want to hover at and then give it a forward direction. With the
right hardware it can see if there is an object in the way and either stop or
attempt to fly around or over the object. Also has nice return home features
if you lose signal lock so your drone doesn’t end up flying off to the next
town like one of my earlier ones did.

I have only fired the standard model rockets so far but I’m in the process of
ordering one that has a custom rocket motor. I have to file for permits to
have it transported and I’m not sure but I think I may need to file a flight
plan to fire it. Some of the local airports have rocket days though.
Altitudes can be in the 10K and up range. Multistage models may get you up to
low flying airliners or even not so low flying airlines.

:)
