Hi Don,

Having installed OSX a number of times now I can tell you that it's not quite
like that.

When you turn the computer on a voice will advise that the operating system has
a built in screan reader and then how to enable it.

That is where you can press Command F5.

Note though that as part of this notification from the machine, it will tell
you how to run the built in help / instructions for voiceover also.

Good luck and HTH.

Subject: macbook pro question

Hi all,
Don't think my original message went through so here goes again.
I am getting a macbook pro and I have heard that voiceover will come up
automatically several seconds after the machine starts so you can use the setup
assistant with speech.
Is this truch? I'd really like to do the whole thing withou sighted assistance.

Thanks,

Don
