John,

Basically, go to the Music source. Under there, you'll see 6 radio buttons.
The first one will say "My Music". Hit VO+Space on that. Now, you'll see the
sidebar, if it's enabled. Voiceover's not going to call it the quote: sidebar,
but trust me, it's there. It only shows up though when you're in Music, and
more specifically are looking at the My Music area locally in your library, not
within Apple Music. So after selecting Music, then the My Music radio button,
if you go to the top of the screen, you'll hear "Previous button". Now,
VO+Right arrow, and eventually, you're going to hear, provided the sidebar is
showing, something that will say "Playlist table". Now, if you interact with
that table, that! is your sidebar. I know, it's kind of weird. I'll
definitely grant you that, but yeah. That's where it is. Like I say,
Voiceover's not gonna call it the quote: sidebar, but that's where it is. Do
this if you want to see this in context. Go into Music, then to My Music.
Now, hit command+Option+S as in sidebar. In other words, command+Option+S, as
in sierra. Again, regardless it's status, Voiceover will say "Hide sidebar,"
but I promise you, as you press this, it'll be toggling it on/off. You can
verify this by going to the menu bar with VO+M, then go look in the View menu.

Again, I did a really in depth walkthrough of the sidebar, and the new music's
interface. It's on my Youtube channel, if you wanna go subscribe, and also have
a look.

I really hope this clarifies things more for ya, my friend. Haven't heard from
you in a while, by the way. Hope you're doing well. Smile.

I’m trying to figure this out myself at the moment. I don’t see where this
sidebar is located. The Get Info window doesn’t seem to have changed.

I do agree. I feel sorry for those Windows users, and that's not me
being sarcastic. I honestly don't know why Apple couldn't just have left as
well enough alone, but, whatever, I guess.

The same? All I’ve got here is playlists and devices—is that not all that
      appears in the sidebar?

The sidebar was useful, but as so often happens, I somehow managed to
adapt
to the new layout, and now forget why exactly I thought so at the time …

Overall, I like the new structure. For example, one can now get to every
playlist, and not just those per category. Then there is the new
per-category menu, and the chapter-skipping hotkeys. All very handy.

Poor Windows users, though. Out in the cold again. I wonder if the
screen
reader model in use on that platform is even compatible with this class of
application, or whether it will ever be. It seems to me to be a rather
unsatisfactory situation over there. There’s only so much you can do with
the system focus and Tab key. :)
