Hi Ronda. Another setting I like on the Mac is to have all F1, F2 etc. as standard function keys. With this setting checked in the keyboard section of System Preferences, you don't have to hold the function key to toggle Voiceover on or off or to open Voiceover utility. This is very helpful if you're using a MacBook.
