Chris, way to go, nice machine and the advantage of buying higher on the scale 
is your machine will last you a long time.  I still have Macbook pro laptops in 
service in my family from 2011.

As far as the word processing goes, I like pages myself.  It’s included and has 
the ability to read and export MS Word files with out any issue. I use it at 
work all the time.
