Subject: Re: Question about volume button on 4th Gen Apple TV

Hi Dodda and all,

Michelle Stevens here,

Does Braille work on the new Apple TV, similar to our other Mac and phone features? That would be really useful if I can use my Braille display Bluetooth.

Kind wishes
Michelle

Well, glad I could help you out for a change. :) For what it's worth, our TV is also a Samsung.

Thanks for the network tips. I have to get to work, but will mess around with that later on today.

Hope the TV volume thing works for you.
Cheers,
Donna

Whoa, that’s cool nd would be nice as I find the show audio low and VO hot.

I’m going to try this, thanks for the suggestion.

It's funny, last night, it did exactly what I would have expected. When I press the button when VO is speaking, it modified that volume. If I pressed it when a show was playing, it modified the TV volume. That's exactly what I wanted it to do, so life is good. I'm not sure why it wasn't doing that on Sunday, but I'm glad it's working now.
Cheers,
Donna

My TV and Apple TV has only ever modified the master TV volume. If it helps it’s a Samsung smart TV which does seem to support all the various protocols over HDMI.
