If you receive a message with an attachment, you can save it by going into the 
File menu and pressing return on the "save attachments" option. This will bring 
up a dialogue. This has always worked for me. FYI, I think there is also a way 
of viewing the attachment directly from within the message, but I do not 
remember how to do this.
