Yes, I went to the Apple Store prepared to purchase an iPad Pro 9, believing that the sound would be the same. The reviews I read said the sound was the same. I learned that those reviewers do not appear to either 1) know what good sound is, or 2) not be very aware of what they are hearing.
I wanted the Pro 9 for that fabulous sound which I first heard a couple weeks after the Pro 12.9 was released, whilst being smaller to take up less room in my bag. Oh, and the few hundred savings does not hurt either.Oh well, still waiting for Xmas.
