I do not know if they know about this, as I have not experienced this myself -
and I am not sure why you are experiencing this issue. It seems more and more
that people are experiencing different issues - some of which may be VO
related. I don't remember different issues cropping up so much in the days of
Tiger - ah well, perhaps this is the price we pay for progress.

You can send any accessibility issues and comments etc to:
[email protected]

It would be nice to know what an application is doing, but applications can do
a number of different things depending on what they are. Also, I think that the
reason we are told that an application is busy and not what it is doing is
because sighted people cannot tell what the application is doing. If it is not
working, or is being slow, I do not think it tells them why. Apple has always
treated us as if we are sighted computer users - which is nice and refreshing.

Safari is based on WebKit - it is the engine of Safari just as Gekko is the
engine of FireFox. There are nightly builds of WebKit which can be downloaded
if you want to use the bleeding edge code, but I do not know where to get them
from. I personally am waiting for FireFox to become accessible on the Mac, but
this will take some time due to the open source nature of FireFox and the
philosophy of Mozilla - which i personally agree with.
