Once you sign into the google drive app google for me at least put a google drive folder in my home directory. i use this folder like any other folder. $5 a month for google apps gets me in addition to the other features of google apps 30GB, and this works fine for what i’m working on. I think if i remember right, google docs, sheets, and slides saved are in google drive, but they don’t count toward your google drive space.
