Hi, I may be off the mark here regarding your question, but, I'll let you know that Smart Mailboxes will place references to your messages in the Smart Mailbox but will not actually move them out of their original Mailbox. The Smart Mailbox lets you have quick access to the specifically grouped messages, but still leaves the original in it's original Mailbox. If you prefer them to be automatically moved to specific Mailboxes, it is better to use Rules which is found in your Mail Preferences, last item in the Toolbar. Criteria is set in a similar manner.
