Are you testing a lot of pages? If so you might want to check into the
various commercial products like WorldSpace from DeQueue Systems or AMP
from SSB Bart Group. I've used both and they work well. I'm currently
scanning about 200 web sites with AMP each week.
For individual pages you can try tools like WAVE from the WebAIM folks.
Its a plugin that runs under Chrome. I usually just pull up pages and
try to walk through them with VoiceOver and then JAWS. JAWS will attempt
to repair things for you, possibly masking errors, while VoiceOver does
not. This makes VoiceOver a better accessibility debugging solution. I
also have a couple mobile devices to check things there as many sites
present a different UI depending on screen size.

Hello,
My new work Macintosh has arrived and now I have been asked what software
would be useful for my job. I am helping with Accessibility of computer based
testing systems. All my professional accessibility work has been using Windows
screen readers with specialised scripts.
I am familiar with the availability of node.js tools for automated audits, but
at this point, I can probably get any Macintosh software I deem useful for the
job.
Please provide anything you use and why.
Thanks,
Jonathan
