Hi list, I’ve been using outlook and the other office products on a month to month basis now and I sort of like outlook but honestly, I’m using mail again in El Cap and I just like it better. Maybe I got so used to it, maybe I just have always felt outlook seemed clunky, maybe I’m not a good enough user and don’t know the shortcuts but I think I’m going back to Apple Mail and my open source security tools for my needs feel like the way I should go. I also don’t really like Microsoft so intertwined with my email and documents not for any rational reason but more their new privacy policies and the pushing of Windows 10 bother me and I don’t know if I want to reward that with $9.95 monthly.
So how best to remove office? Do I need to do a clean install? Overkill? Just delete the applications? Any demicrosofting tips would be appreciated. Also, I don’t hate the product I just feel more that apple mail is more responsive and I like the voice over work flow better much more of an issue over the company politics issue. I’m also not complaining about it’s accessibility and I’m not recommending against the product people need to decide on their own whether they like the work flow and if at all the security and privacy issues are a concern to you.
