Oh, so you have to double tap and hold? That's crazy! I wonder why a long
press is necessary.

Hi Chris. Sorry I’m late to reply to this message. I can’t answer your last
three questions because I’ve never been in a group on Roger or have tried Zelo,
but I can answer your first question. Near the bottom of the screen, you should
see all the conversations you’re in with your contacts. To do things with a
conversation or contact, double tap and hold on the conversation/contact and
you should get a pop up menu. Double tap on more and it’ll present you with
another menu. There you can do things like block the contact, hide the
conversation or mute notifications. Come to think of it, you could probably do
the same thing in groups, but like I said, I’m not on any groups so I could be
wrong.

Subject: I can't figure out Roger for iOS, really! could use your help!

So, a friend of mine sent me an invite to try out Roger.

So, I got it installed, and boy am I thoroughly confused! This interface,
unless I'm not getting something, is a freaking mess!

  1. After telling it I want to talk to friends, I then was able to add my
friend to the chat. I accidentally added another friend though. How in the
world do I get a list of who all is added to the chat, and how do I delete
people I've added?

  2. Let's say that I create another group then add totally different people
to it? How then do I flip flot between the different groups I've added?

  3. Let's say I either create, or join a group, and I no longer want to be a
part of that group. how do I leave the group, or if it's one I've created, how
do I totally delete the group altogether?

  4. Why in God's name would this app be better than Zello? On Zello, you
have groups. They're called channels, and yes, if you create the channel, you
have full moderator priveledges, and can even assign other users as mods, or as
full on admins. Plus, the UI of Zello is way less confusing, and way more user
friendly. Plus, selecting contacts to chat with, accepting their add requests,
sending add requests, etc. is far far easier.

In conclusion, I know lots of people are now on Roger, even those in the
blind community, but really guys, what is so great about Roger? I'm not
doubting it's an OK app to use, but I just don't understand the hyfe of why so
many insist on using it over using Zello. Zello is cross platformed, so you
can use it on iOS, or, if you need to talk to someone using Android, no big
deal, and though I won't say much on this note due to it being off topic, I
will at least say it works beautifully! and I do mean, beautifully! with
Talkback, Sine, and Spiel, all 3 with Android, as far back as Ice Cream
Sandwitch 4.0 all the way now up to 6.0 Marshmallow. I've even heard of
people, though I've been unsuccessful, who installed JAWS scripts, and got it
working on their desktop running Windows.

So, yeah, truly, Zello's a beautiful thing. I'm willing to have an open mind
about Roger, but you guys are really gonna have to do a lotta convincing.

  Chris.
