Hello Everyone, Even though this is a Mac list, the following occurs on my Windows PC and so I'd like someone to either confirm or not-confirm that the same happens in OS X.
1. Either sync or backup iPhone to iTunes on the Mac. 2. Now, with the phone disconnected from the computer, in iOS Safari or via an email app, on the phone, attempt to open a PDF document. Doing this will open a dialog box giving the option to open the document in iBook. Select this option. This means, of course, that the PDF document now exists in the iBook app. 3. Close the iBook app and reboot the phone. 4. Re-connect the phone to the Mac and attempt to either sync or backup the phone to iTunes on the Mac. Now, in iTunes for Windows, this will cause an -54 error message stating that the attempt to write to the disk failed. Question, does this happen in iTunes on the Mac? Just so you know, the only way I was able to resolve this error was to delete the PDF document from the iBook app on my phone. Thank you for your attention to this.
