Normally that 8 character you are hearing would be there is 8 characters in the field,
Try highlighting that field and then deleting what sounds like is in there. I know when I put in a password the password length is spoken as Jonathan said, It is a helpful feature,I don't believe this happens in a document like pages or word etc. As for spoken characters I believe without looking there is a feature to turn this off under settings / accessibility / voiceover. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Joshua Tubbs Sent: Monday, 12 September 2016 4:35 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: VoiceOver Typing Echo is off, yet characters still speak when typing in Chrome? Typing Echo does not just occur in Google Docs. As for passwords, even if the password field is blank, VoiceOver will still report “8 Characters, password secure edit text”. > On Sep 11, 2016, at 12:31 PM, Jonathan Cohn <[email protected]> wrote: > > Is this just in Google Docs?
