Hi Simon,

The 6S does it as well. I turned it off rather quickly as every time I got up
out of my chair, climbed the stairs or anything of the sort, my iPhone started
babbling away announcing notifications, the time and anything else on the
screen that I had been ignoring. It can be turned off in Settings, Display &
Brightness.

Probably fine for a sighted user but definitely annoying for us listeners.

Later...

Subject: iPhone 7 very chatty?

Is anyone else noticing that their iPhone 7 is very chatty? When locked, it
seems that all I have to do is have my hand somewhere in the vicinity of the
phone and it pipes up and speaks the time.
Cheers,
Donna
