No no no Tim. Not you. I am the one who sticks his nose in when I should not. (smiles)

Also, while I wait, I sort of collect information on the new OS from Applevis and plan the clean install. Plus create the bootable disk with Diskmaker X which was just updated for Sierra.

Hi,

A valid and sensible approach. Just felt like sticking my nose in where
it didn't belong :).

Yes that is true, Tim. I am just not in a hurry and will do a clean
install which cannot be a rush job anyway. And waiting gives the devs
time to catch up.

Hi,

Although waiting has it's benefits, the accessibility of an app like
Abbyy Fine Reader is not dependent on whether you have 10.12.0 or
10.12.1. It's up to the app developer to fix accessibility issues
and/or other compatibility concerns. There are a few cases where the
OS is the culprit, but the majority of the time, it's the developer
that needs to update.

Sorry, just a clarification.

That's a good reason to wait on an OS X upgrade. For me, probably
until 10.12.1. But apps for Mac and iDevices are starting to flood the
update screens.

Hi,

those of you who rely on OCR application ABBYY FineReaderPro to work
or read, please be aware that it is not yet compatible with Sierra,
so you may choose not to upgrade until ABBYY release an update. I've
just asked them and as per usual they cannot or will not commit
themselves to when it might be.
