Hi Hannah and Chris, I did have protection on a phone a couple of years back,
When I upgraded from the 5s to the 6 I had to pay a difference in price to bring the protection up to 2 years for the iPhone 6 As I had used 1 year of the protection, Whther that works the same way for the mac books I'm not sure but it would make sence.
