Yeah I wish I was in more of a situation to have a look, I do think that having the drive taken out and completely wiped is going to be the best result at this point.
Ramy if your reading, I think Tim and I are out of ideas in this situation. I would suggest getting the mac mini back to the tech and having him remove the drive and then completely wipe it clean. Even if he does nothing more then we can or should I say should be able to get it up and working the same way we did with your USB flash drive. But the tech could be a nice guy and wipe then partition the drive in to 1 partition with mac osx extended journeled and GUID Then an install via USB will be or should I say should work perfectly touch wood.
