Hi, You could also set up a keyboard shortcut for this. If you open the Emoji & Symbols dialog with cmd-ctrl-space, enter a dash in the Search field, then you should be able to locate the Math symbol for "⁻" (minus). Now, in the Text tab of the Keyboard System Preferences, create a substitution. For example, you could set it to always substitute the "⁻" sign when you type some combination of characters such as m s g n.
