ok, for one, I tried subbing to the group for IPod and IPhone support, but
it's teling me the list doesn't exist. This may be a question for ester or
some of you real savvy IPod users. although anyone, feel free to answer.
Now you tell me, this is not totally bizarre. I have one playlist set up in
my Itunes which is called "Transfers." Obviously minus the quotation marks.
What I've done, is on the music tab for my IPod touch, actually, as well as
on my Nano 4th Gen, come to think of it, I told ITunes to sync only selected
playlists. Then I when in the table and chose only! the transfers playlist.
This way, whatever I drop in that playlist, it immediately, upon the next
sync, puts it over on my IPod. I'm perfectly fine with that. Here,
however, is my question. Now, granted, I did do, on my touch a shake
shuffle maybe one time. I had an album by Connie Talbot which I was
playing, I think if I remember right, when I did this. Wyile I was in the
now playing screen I shook the thing. Anyway, now, when at the home screen,
If I double tap on music, then make sure that from the tabs across the
bottom of the screen, that I am on artists, If then I go and locate the
artist from the list... say in this case... Randy Travis... I double tapped
on Randy Travis and that took me to all his albums, as I gotta ton. I
probly have his whole discography. Anyway, I scrolled down and double
tapped on his album Storms of Life. From there, it brough up the first
option which is shuffle, but below that are all the tracks.

Well, this is starting with

Diggin' up bones
Messin' with my mind,
No place like home,
etc.

Point is: These songs by far! are *not!* going in the correct order.
Some? how, my IPod's putting 'em in alphabetical order. Maybe I'm both
blind physically, and! mentally, hahaha, but this is gonna drive me, excuse
the language: flipoen! nuts! Sotrms of life, ehh, yeah, whatever, ok, yeah,
fine. But take something like the rock opera: Tommy, from the Who... Or
maybe my music from Andrew Lloyd Webber of Cats, say you don't wanna hear
those in ABC order? That's gonna suck! Talk about messen up a perfectly!
awesome! musical! Or some of the world music I have... If you play it outta
order, you're never! gonna get the correct effect. I went through ITunes
and double checked. The tracks are! tagged perfectly, by track numbers,
they also show up perfectly in the song list table. Like If I am in grid
view, and I go to Storms of Life, in ITunes, a corse, then from there open
that album, it goes:

On the Other Hand
Storms of Life
My Heart Cracked
Diggin up Bones
etc.

In other words, it's correct. When I sync down to my Nano it's correct if I
go, music, artists, randy Travis, Storms of Life,

So, what the heck!

And it isn't just this album either. It's doowen it globally!

I double tapped settings, then Music, but I see nothing! and I mean,
nothing! that would make this thing sort differently.

I dono what the heck I did.

I dono if it was this way when I got the thing or not, I don't honestly
remember.

Now, what I wonder is, call me stupid for not observing this before writing
this, but, even though the songs! are in alphebetical order, I wonder if
it'll still play in the correct order, although, that still is impractical,
as havintg over 2300 tracks on this thing, you expect me to remember th3e
title of the first song on all those discs?> Heaven's god! forbid! I may
not havva life, but I'm not that! bord! I may call Apple about this when
they open at 9 my time, but in the mingwhile, do any of you all have a
suggestion? I did some googling, and apparently, I am not the only one
having this problem. Someone else sighted on a forum I went to also has
this issue with their Touch, however, no one responded on the thread on how
to fix it. Maybe I'm just stupid and am missing things, but...

Come on! Apple, first you totally screw the accessibility of ITunes where
under Windows it hardly works any more, then now, you screw the IPod where
it won't sort right? Please God tell me this is just something I'm missing.

Thanks.
