In addition to what Anne said on formatting, your second issue of changing input language from Arabic to English using the default shortcut command+spacebar, you need to change this as it clashes with the spotlight shortcut keys. Go to system preferences, choose "keyboard", choose "shortcuts" tab, and in the first table choose "input sources" and in the second table change the shortcut to something else. Make sure it doesn't clash with any other shortcuts. I usually check this by invoking the "keyboard help" with vo+k and then try my shortcut combination. You quit the "keyboard help" by pressing escape.
